Illustration Friday: Float

I painted this in acrylic back in '99. It was my dad's ship, USS Severling, back in the Korean War. I remember him telling me the captain always said their main duty was to keep the ship afloat.

This is very striking! I like the sharpness of the edges and the use of different shades of dle. The clouds in the background almost look like mountains! Really great technique.
