Retraction! After venting last night, I had a really good time at work and realized that it's all about my own attitude. Any job, like any aspect in life, is what you make it.

You know what makes me sad about this story? Is that you actually enjoyed your job when you first began. You worked Produce during the day shift. I don't remember seeing you smile as much as you did back then. And your energy soared. Why? Because it had all the right elements in it. Sure, you worked a tiny bit in the public which took you out of your comfort zone... but it wasn't so much so, that it was a hardship on you. It was a perfect blend that kept your energy high and didn't drain you necessarily. No wonder you're hating your job right now. Working with a bunch of people who hate their job even more than you do. You already know what to do. Its standing up for yourself and asking to be put in a different shift/department. You're a hard worker and if they say "no" then you will at least know what you're up against. And, if they say yes, you are about to enjoy a happier life. Don't delay it. Do it today. You deserve it. And, only you can change that. Great story by the way! It's an eye opener for so many of us!!
YayYyy! I'm so happy you are enjoying your job. The words you just wrote are in the truest form of wisdom! Glad you got to vent (did you delete your post?) because venting is good, too. Sometimes one can't place a finger on the blues or dissatisfaction of a job until he can vent about it.
